Dear Team 海角社区,
With deep appreciation, I thank you for the exceptional work you do every day to make sure the students we serve are encouraged, supported, and successful. Your efforts make me #海角社区proud, and it is because of those efforts that I am excited to share some incredible news related to employee compensation.
Gov. Greg Abbott signed into law House Bill 3, a historic overhaul of the state鈥檚 public education finance system.
The funds 海角社区 will receive mean we can increase compensation for all staff. What's more impressive is that we are more than doubling the amount the state requires.
I'm pleased to say that 海角社区 Is committing $48 million in permanent compensation increases including the following items:
- 7% compensation increase for teachers, counselors and librarians with more than five years of experience;
- 6% compensation increase for all other staff;
- A stipend increase to our special education teachers, an investment of about $500,000; and
- A stipend increase to our bilingual teachers, which reflects a $1.2 million investment.
In 海角社区, we believe in our students and we value you, our loyal and dedicated staff. I hope you will join me in celebrating this news.
