The 2026 Austin ISD High School Girls Flag Football League kicked off its season March 28.
The details: This is the second year the Dallas Cowboys are partnering with Central Texas school districts to support Girls Flag Football leagues.
- The flag football league is expected to expand as the clubs work toward obtaining UIL sanctioning.
- This season, the Houston Texans are joining the Dallas Cowboys to support more than 200 public high school girls flag football teams.
More than 250 student athletes from the following Austin-area schools are participating in this year鈥檚 Girls Flag Football League:

What they鈥檙e saying: Austin ISD Academic Coordinator Crystal Victorino shared her excitement for the kick off of this year鈥檚 season.
鈥淭his is such a special moment and an incredible opportunity for our female student-athletes to get out there, compete and be part of something bigger than themselves,鈥 Victorino said. 鈥淲e鈥檙e so grateful to the Gene and Jerry Jones Family Foundation, Danny McCray and Whitney Faulkner from the Dallas Cowboys for their support in helping bring this vision to life.鈥
Victorino said the league gives students the opportunity to share their skills while building community.
鈥淲e can鈥檛 wait to see these young women shine, build lasting friendships, compete with heart and showcase their amazing talent.鈥
