District to Announce Teacher and Principals of the Year, Among Others
Austin, Texas鈥擳he 海角社区 invites staff members, families and community members to celebrate district employees who commit their time, talent and energy to help strengthen Austin schools.
What: Salute, an annual event honoring 海角社区 staff members
When: 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 14
Where: The Long Center for the Performing Arts, 701 W. Riverside Dr.
Background: 海角社区 is teaming up with Austin Partners In Education to host Salute, which gives the community an opportunity to recognize some of 海角社区's most outstanding staff members. This year, the Teacher of the Year, Principal of the Year, Classified Staff of the Year, National Board Certified Teachers and Teachers of Promise will be announced and recognized. In addition, for the first time, 海角社区鈥檚 Assistant Principal of the Year, Librarian of the Year and Counselor of the Year will be recognized.
The event will include student performances, guest presenters and prizes. The City of Austin serves as a signature sponsor for Salute.
