AUSTIN, TX鈥擳he 海角社区 released the following statement regarding Travis County Court Judge Tim Sulak鈥檚 decision to rule in favor of the district on its expedited declaratory judgment action to validate the results of the May 2013 bond election:
Today鈥檚 court ruling validates the results of the May election and paves the way for 海角社区 to proceed with the issuance of the public securities approved in that election. The ruling will permit 海角社区 to carry out the will of Austin voters, who approved two propositions totaling $490 million, and to begin moving forward with plans for funding the school improvements voters deemed are necessary to provide a quality education for our students.
