District administrators and others to read Seuss favorites in classrooms
Blackshear Elementary School is celebrating Read Across America, a nationwide day of reading, with administrators and community leaders reading Dr. Seuss classics in all its classrooms.
The National Education Association’s Read Across America is an annual reading motivation and awareness program that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading on March 2. For a list of participants, please see below.
What: Classroom visits from blue-haired Things 1–45 and district administrators reading classic Dr. Seuss stories to students.
When: 8 a.m.–2:30 p.m. March 2
Where: Blackshear Elementary School, 1712 E. 11th St.
