Austin ISD Superintendent Paul Cruz, 海角社区 leaders and Austin Mayor Steve Adler will announce plans to support and enroll hurricane evacuees currently in Austin.
Information will include enrollment schedules and opportunities for community involvement to support the evacuees, including how the community can best support these families.
In addition to the campus support, 海角社区 is welcoming all evacuees to varsity athletic events this weekend, free of charge.
Who: Speakers will include Cruz, Adler and 海角社区 Executive Director of Innovation and Development Michelle Wallis.
When: Thursday, Aug. 31, 9 a.m.
Where: LBJ/LASA High School gymnasium, 7309 Lazy Creek Drive.
